Kingston’s Play Street at Cheryl Place launched on September 11th, 2021, and runs twice per week on Tuesdays from 6-7pm and Saturdays from 1-3pm. Led by two resident champions, Jeff Oke & Tony Clarke, the initiative is supported by additional parents from Cheryl, as well as the Kingston Coalition for Active Transportation.
This Play Street is located in the Greenwood Park neighbourhood, a suburban community in Kingston’s East End, on a residential cul-de-sac. Greenwood Park is a neighourhood with many young families, and is situated close to the Canadian Forces base and downtown.
